Corrosion Resistant

Corrosion Resistant

There is no corrosion with a fiberglass bridge drain system. Fiberglass is inert to oil, gas, road salt, ice melting solutions & many other corrosive chemicals that are commonly found on roadways, bridges, and highway overpasses. Even cleanouts and related components are nonmetallic, resulting in a system that will never need replacement caused by a failure due to material corrosion.

Lightweight

Lightweight

Two people can easily carry 40' of 8" pipe with two cleanout assemblies and two collectors as seen in the picture above. That's light-weight compared to metallic or PVC systems that can be over ten times the weight of a comparative fiberglass design. However, this lack of weight does not result in a lack of strength as the material properties of fiberglass more closely resemble those of steel rather than weaker thermoplastics like PVC.

Ease of Installation

Ease of Installation

A major advantage of a fiberglass bridge drain system is its prefabrication capabilities. On site deliveries to a contractor can easily include preassembled joints, collectors, cleanouts and scuppers if needed. This can save a lot of time and energy which ultimately saves money. The lightweight nature of the product also allows for limited use of heavy machinery for handling the materials on the job site, which further cuts cost for contractors and clients.

Custom Fabrication

Custom Fabrication

Custom and specialty fittings are readily available and easily fabricated by our manufacturer. If you can draw it, we can fabricate it! This includes any specialty fittings such as catch basins, odd degree elbows, oval fittings, square or rectangular components or any other combination you may require to create a drainage system as unique as the bridge it is being installed on. We have been fabricating specialty fittings since 1974 - that's a lot of experience.
